1 /5 cdforpm: I agree with many other folks who left comments here. Delivery guys were not careful. They didnt even bring enough tools and had to borrow mine - what if customers dont have step ladders or spray bottles at home? They told me its my responsibility to take out all foams and boxes and left everything by my apartment entrance for me to clean up myself afterwards. ( It was a 2 meters tall box and ended up with 6 big plastic bags of foams. There were also wooden planks inside, which I couldnt just throw into our apartment garbage bin due to bylaw. I had to find elsewhere to dispose them over the weekend)
My biggest complaint is that the delivery guys damaged my floor (brand new, installed less than 2 months ago) and I only found out after I cleaned up the trash they left me. I filed a complaint and it was the same generic message many other reviewers shared here sent to me saying that my claim was denied. One of the lines, they asked you to initial on is the release of liability. The delivery guys rushed everything and got me to sign the paperwork in a rushed manner, and left me loads of trash to clean up afterwards - it would be very hard to note any defects immediately - espeiclalh when I believe they were trying to hide the damages. They fact that they carefully put the broken flooring pieces together showed that the delivery guys knew they damaged it, but chose not to say anything about it. The door was right above where it was damaged and initially covered the broken parts. I reported the damage some 1 hour later after the delivery on the same day, but they used the same reason many others reported here to deny the claim.
My advice is if the delivery guys come, make sure you carefully check everything - do not let their rushed manner make you sign the paperwork in a rush - take as much time as you need. Or just avoid this company and stick with Best Buy or Home Depot as I never had this kind of headaches with them.
Update: The company phoned me and asked me what happened after they saw my review. However as you can see in their response, they still tried to blame me on signing the BOL in a rush/ when their delivery guys were trying to hide the damage on purpose despite I reported the incident immediately.
The price of the compliance also dropped after it got delivered. At the time of purchase I was told that adjustment is possible within 30 days by sales. When I returned back to store later and asked for adjustment, I was told that adjustment wouldnt be possible after the appliance got delivered. Sales told me that the price just dropped "today", despite that I first saw the drop the day before. I think either I can foresee the future or someone lied to me :)
Anyways, I will stick with Home Depot and other credible dealers where they have their terms written in black and white. Lesson learned - I got scammed, so you dont have to
