Old Surrey Restaurant - (Near Surrey, BC)

5 /5 Bonita Chan: We chose Old Surrey Restaurant, a 5-Star restaurant from reviewers, to celebrate our wedding anniversary last night. This is our first time in a French restaurant. I am impressed by their polite, attentive, friendly and humorous staff, their welcoming and cozy atmosphere, classy restaurant layout (never looked like a transformation from an old house), nicely displayed and taste well food (although it has not reached “wow” yet and is a bit pricy because of the food quality and size). It is amusing to see our waiter, a nice gentleman with curly hair (I had not got his name) making fresh salad in front of us. Special thanks to him as he is really friendly, attentive and polite. We chose their Winter Special menu - Escargot Bourguignon, Tourtiere Quebecoise, lamb rack, tenderloin, Kahlua cheesecake, Crème Brûlée and seafood platter from their regular dinner menu. We had cocktails Green Timber, Margarita and Clover Club. This is a very good place to hold gatherings, they don’t rush guests out of their door. They have a huge parking lot all around the restaurant. After all, it was a very enjoyable night last night. I checked out my pictures taken again and again, and even copied the picture taken by other guests posted on goggle map so as to have a complete record of the restaurant. We will visit again and try out their other dishes. I am happy we have such a well established restaurant in Surrey. Good job, Old Surrey Restaurant.

5 /5 Darin Massicotte: This place was amazing. Table service was a crazy good experience. Cesar salad and Chateaubriand is the way to go. One downside is that the restaurant is not accessible in any way. I’m an above knee amputee and depending how I’m feeling I’ll use a wheelchair sometimes. When we booked our reservation on “open table” there was no mention of it being non accessible. I’m glad that I decided to wear my prosthetic leg, even though the stairs are not very friendly, it was worth the climb. Even with the lack of accessibility I will definitely go back for more! Besides that(which isn’t their fault at all) it was a great experience. Go and enjoy!

5 /5 Rieke Indriyanti: This place is an absolute gem! What a fantastic hidden spot in Surrey. The restaurant is in a beautiful historic building and is family-owned, which gives it such a special touch. This restaurant serves French cuisine with a French-style ambiance. Our dinner was amazing! My swordfish was cooked to perfection, and my husbands rib eye was fantastic. We also absolutely loved their signature potatoes; they were so yummy! The service was outstanding! Im so glad we found this place and we will definitely come back!

4 /5 Meg West: Food was delicious and a good sized portion was served. We all enjoyed the Chateaubriand Special. One star lost because my fillet was overdone and one bernaise sauce was so thick as if it was scraped from the pan. The potatoes were amazing! Service was very good. A little too long of a wait between courses for a Wednesday night though. Reservations were at 7:00 and first course arrived at 8:00. Would have enjoyed to linger on a Saturday night. Hardly had time to enjoy a coffee after dessert. Atmosphere was pleasant. Very quiet. No music.
