Giovannis Restaurant - Ottawa

Rating: 4.5 /5
Allan Fabrykant I would give them 10 stars if I could. I don’t even know where to begin, food was delicious, staff was extremely accommodating (even more than they should’ve been given the short notice). Everything came out at a reasonable time, and we felt very taken care of. I would recommend the Gnocchi de la Casa Looking forward to going back for the next special occasion!

Mati - Ottawa

Rating: 4.4 /5
Nourhan Elsayed First time at Mati tonight, and from the very first bite we already knew this was a place we’d be coming back to, and probably becoming regulars. We ordered the seafood tower, which gives you the best of both worlds: hot and cold. Lobster, calamari, fresh tuna, oysters, fish tacos, so much variety, and everything was incredibly fresh and flavorful. Honestly, every bite felt like a new experience, and it was 100% worth the price. And the service? Absolutely phenomenal. The vibes were on point, the staff genuinely looked like they were enjoying themselves, and that energy really carried through the whole night. The attention to detail was exceptional. Overall, we loved everything and would definitely recommend this place. Total win.

JOEY Lansdowne - Ottawa

Rating: 4.7 /5
Red Stiletto I love the vibe here. The food is always decadent. I had the spicy crab dip to start and the truffle udon carbonara for my main. I highly recommend the udon! Underground parking is easy, just follow the signs to know what section to park in. If you have extra time, you should check out the farmers market at Lansdowne. So quaint.

DUKES Ottawa - Ottawa

Caitlin Crockard This cute spot does diner-style breakfast and lunch really well. I’ve never tried their lunch items (sandwiches etc), but I’ve enjoyed every breakfast item I’ve tried, from the classic eggs and bacon to the scrambled egg sammie to the hash. I love that so many items are available as sides — including and especially the truly excellent pancakes. On occasion, I have found the cooking of the food to be a tiny bit inconsistent — my egg whites not quite set one time, or the bacon a bit too floppy, or the excellent hash browns just maybe a bit too fried — but everything tastes great and the service is really friendly. It’s very popular though, so either make a reservation or show up early (I do wish they opened earlier than 9!).

Torta Boyz - Ottawa

Rating: 4.8 /5
Viviana Castillo I’ve been to Torta Boyz a couple of times and it’s definitely a place I’ll keep coming back to. The food is always delicious and the service is consistently great. I love both their drinks and their food, but my favorite has to be the Asada fries with barbacoa de res. Every visit has been a great experience, and I highly recommend checking them out!

May Inthason Visited the city for a work trip and was suggested by a friend of mine to come here for dinner and was not disappointed at all. The ambience here is very moody. Can be a bit loud but overall did not bother me, it is a nice intimate space. Shameen was serving me at the bar and I asked for her recommendations as everything looked good. The crudo was light and refreshing with a bit of crunch that complimented it very well. The pasta Shameen recommended was amazing. One of the best pastas I’ve had in a long while. It was the Creste Rigate & Sausage. I will be dreaming of not only that pasta dish but the Tiramisu as well. It was nice and rich and the best way to end the meal. The wine selection and cocktails were also great. Whenever I get the chance to come back to the city, I will be back here for sure.
