Chaopaya Thai Restaurant - (Near Barrie, ON)

5 /5 Kim Gow: This place has been around forever, and I had never tried it. Well forgot my lunch and it is walking distance from my office - so treated myself. I cannot express how good this was. There is not a lot of authentic tasting Thai places here - but I have officially found a 2nd amazing place here in Barrie. I got the lunch special, came with Hot & Sour soup, Spring Roll and Chicken Pad Thai. There are a few different ones to choose from. I will absolutely be back.

5 /5 Rubal Singh: A good thai restaurant if you are looking for authentic Thai food you must visit this place. Very welcoming staff. We were on our way from muskoka to Mississauga when we discovered this place. We ordered their mango salad as it was recommended by the staff and we all loved it so much. Definitely check the place out if you are in the area.

5 /5 Archibillis Randenheimer: Ordered Shrimp Pad Thai as I was in the area. What a pleasant surprise, the noodles were tender, the sauce they use is a very pleasant tamarind soy type, crushed peanuts on top. There were a few pieces of bean sprouts but definitely not as much I would have expected. There may have been more and I missed it but i think they were more cooked down so maybe disappeared amongst the noodles. Eggs are also cooked in. There were 7 pretty big shrimp/prawns. They were juicy and properly cooked. This was a very tasty satisfying dish to me. It was $22 with tax which is kind of pricey but I felt value for money. I would return anytime I am here in the city. The restaurant looks very authentic and romantic inside.
