2 /5 Michael Di Roma: Unfortunately I didnt have a good experience here.. Extremely overpriced and smallest portions ever.. The frittura di pesce was ok but small as you can see in the picture. For $30, I cant say that it was even a shareable plate. The Pappardelle ai Funghi Porcini was not the greatest. Pasta was bland and I didnt even finish it. That was $32. The paccheri pasta came out cold and I was told it was because the pesto that was mixed in was cold. Mind you there was only 4-5 pieces of pasta to begin with. That costed $32. Sadly if youre charging that much a plate, I expected a whole lot better. Unfortunately my mother makes way better pasta at home. Although the service was great and they tried to fix the problems it was just too late. Extremely disappointing.

5 /5 Johnny Novo: My Uncle Dan is straight out of a movie. The most Italian man you could ever think of. Straight out of the Goodfellas, thick accent, wife beater, gold chains, etc. He has more money from his construction business than he knows what to do with. He’s in his twilight years of working so these days he mostly spends his time making his own red wine from scratch, hunting turkeys, and growing vegetables in his garden. He clears the vibe check. Im yapping now, but all this to say he picked Il Gatto E La Volpe for dinner so I knew this food was gonna SMACK. We started with margherita pizzas for the table, arrancini, calamari, and a couple bottles of red wine picked by Uncle Dan. My Mom got the gnocchi bolognese, which I knew I would get 80% of as she eats like a mouse, so I went with the Florentine steak. I hate to be corny and say "everything was sensational," but everything was sensational so Imma leave it at that. My favorites were the gnocchi bolognese and arrancini though, as I had never seen gnocchi bolognese on a menu. It honestly should be a more common dish. Im making a prediction that by 2029, gnocchi bolognese will be a standard item on all Italian menus. Service was great, vibes were up, and this was just a great place to enjoy some much needed family time over some red wine. These haters got me stressed. SHOUTOUT TO UNCLE DAN! 5 /5 Anne D: I visited with a couple girlfriends for my birthday dinner, and we loved it. Renee was a lovely server. The pizza dough was fluffy and the lamb shank was very tender. Would highly recommend!

The food is excellent here, we tried 4 different dishes, the fried calamari and shrimp were really fresh, the mussels in tomato sauce with white wine were amazing. For the main, we had prosciutto with parma cheese and arugula, it was really good, and we also had clam pasta in olive oil, was perfect. Service was nice too. Highly recommended!

The food is absolutely top notch — you can really taste the quality and authenticity in every dish. Everything is prepared with care, fresh ingredients, and traditional flavors that make the experience feel truly Italian. The wait staff are fantastic as well. They’re very energetic, attentive, and extremely knowledgeable about the menu, always happy to make great recommendations and ensure everything is perfect. Overall, a wonderful dining experience with amazing food and great service. If you’re looking for authentic Italian food in Woodbridge, Il Gatto e la Volpe is definitely a place worth visiting.
