3 /5 Arsalan E: Stopped by Madras Peppers while I was in the neighbourhood and decided to give it a try. The first impression, unfortunately, wasn’t the best. The restaurant was freezing cold, which made it a bit uncomfortable to sit and enjoy the meal.
That said, some of the dishes definitely stood out. The chilli chicken and dosa were both excellent, packed with flavour and cooked perfectly. The butter chicken was also quite good, rich and creamy without being too heavy. However, the lamb biryani was a real letdown as it lacked depth of flavour and had very little meat, which made it feel incomplete.
Service was friendly but a bit slow, especially considering the restaurant wasn’t too busy at the time. Overall, Madras Peppers had some highlights but also a few misses. With a warmer atmosphere and a bit more attention to consistency, it could easily become a great spot for South Indian cuisine.
