Mesa Fresca Kingston - (Near Kingston, ON)

4 /5 Lololo: Great Kingstonlicious 3 course meal. Excellent value. Tasty homemade chips and salsa to start. My enchiladas were great with a tasty edge of crispy cheese. Hubbys poblanos rajas were also tasty. Sangria was good. Lime pie was to die for. Portions large. Service attentive. Atmosphere was nice. Only complaint was the noise level making it hard to carry on a conversation. Fries also could have been crispier.

5 /5 Scott Reid: Normally I reserve reviewing places until at least three visits, but after my second visit I felt compelled to share my thoughts on this place. To put it succinctly; this place rocks! But more broadly, the food is top shelf; great portions for lunch or dinner and just superb quality. Prices lean a little bit toward less budget friendly, but theyre not excessive and you ARE absolutely paying for quality and it is there! As a bigger lad myself, it isnt often that I take leftovers home. But holy moly, that Chimichanga was a beast. Absolutely delicious, and a challenge to make it through. I shouldve skipped the extra shrimp appetizers (and probably breakfast), but not for lack of quality but simply for lack of INTERNAL SPACE!! And, as a bit of a fussbutt when it comes to mojitos (I think I take after Hemingway a little insofar as how I prefer the mint leaves to be gently muddled) I dare say the ones at Mesa Fresca are some of the best in the city. I would come back just for them frankly even if the food wasnt the best.....but the food is amazing, so call it a bonus. I very much look forward to coming back in the summer. The only slight (and I mean very slight) knock was the service, and it had nothing to do with the table service, I want to be absolutely clear on that, but there was a bit of a wait for the hostess to get to us and it wasnt super busy. There was probably a very valid reason for the delay, but there was a bit of a delay in just getting seated. However, once we were, we were well taken care of and the wait staff are friendly, attentive and personable. Had a great visit, and am looking forward to my next one!

5 /5 Dan G.: Mesa Fresca nails it with fresh, bold Mexican food. Stopped in for an early dinner, the birria tacos are amazing, tender and rich, the Mexican Caesar salad was so unique and delicious, and the fries with chipotle sauce are a must-try. The huge hot sauce bar is a nice touch. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the whole place has a casual, laid-back vibe. Although some of the entrees were a bit pricey it was worth the trip. Go there. Eat there. LOVE IT THERE!

5 /5 Robby Kettle: I recently visited this place for the first time, unsure of what to expect, and I was absolutely blown away! The service was exceptional, the food quality was outstanding, and the atmosphere was perfect—cozy yet lively. The food arrived quickly and was incredibly fresh. My mom and daughter both had margaritas, and they were delicious! And of course, the fries—because who doesn’t love fries? The tacos and burger were beyond delicious. Our waiter was fantastic with my mom, who can be a bit picky, and she absolutely loved her burger, even though it was too much for her to finish, so I happily took care of the rest! If you’re ever in Kingston, this place should definitely be on your top 10 list!
