3 /5 Bill Dandie: Michael and Marion’s is truly an amazing space with a vibrant atmosphere and dynamic, helpful staff. The service and ambiance made a great first impression.
That said, our experience was limited to appetizers at lunch, so perhaps this review is a little skewed. It’s possible that the main dishes—likely made in-house—offer a very different experience. Unfortunately, the appetizers left us disappointed. They felt “Sysco”-like rather than fresh. The bao buns, for example, came toasted and cold, which is not how they should be. Bao buns need to be soft, warm, and squishy; we didn’t finish them for that reason.
Based on the appetizers alone, I wouldn’t recommend. However, the space itself and the service are fantastic, so it may still be worth trying their full menu.
