August 8 Hamilton - Hamilton

Rating: 4.3 /5
Jennifer Wang Wonderful august 8 location!! HUGE cuts of sashimi and definitely worth the money. We never felt like we were rushed to finish the meal, and soda/water refills were always offered to us. Best part of this location is probably the foods taste and portion sizes!

M &M Absolutely lovely high tea experience! The Italian inspired offerings were delicious and included the usual scone and jam/cream selections as well. Large 3-tier serving for each person along with a pot of tea of your choice from a varied selection. The ambience was understated-ly gorgeous along with attentive and efficient service. I am looking forward to attending dinner in the near future. Exceptional dining destination for our city!

Charred Rotisserie House - Hamilton

Jim T Went here for an early dinner about a month ago, really nice place. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere in the restaurant was quiet, inviting, and cozy. I ordered a ceasar salad which was delicious and made perfect. I also ordered a chicken wrap & fries and gravy. The Fries were nice and crispy, the gravy delicious, the wrap was a nice size only thing I didnt think it would of came with dark meat usually every place I go has white meat in the wrap like chicken breast, Im not a fan of dark meat so it was kinda a disappointment but it was still tasty and made good. The waitress was very kind, friendly, attentive. I would go back here again and try out a few other items on the menu.

The Iron Cow Public House - Hamilton

May Inthason I have been here twice so far. Celebrated birthdays for both visits. My first visit was for my partner’s birthday and we have been looking forward to the visit and overall it was fantastic. Talked about it for weeks afterwards. We were given complimentary bubbles to start and also had a written birthday note left on the table which was a very nice and personal touch. Our server at this time was JC and he was great. He recommended the butter chicken dip and we were sold. Loved the flavours and portion of it was quite more than enough for two people. We both ordered the roast dinner for our mains and it was really good. Wished there was a bit more mashed potato but overall we had enough leftover to pack up for an awesome lunch next day. We ended the meal with the sticky toffee pudding. On our first visit they didn’t have anymore of the soft serve vanilla ice cream that comes with it so opted for a whipped cream instead. Had the ice cream paired with it on our second visit but I really enjoyed it better the first time with the cream as it was not as heavy and the perfect way to end the meal without feeling super stuffed. We tried the shepherd’s pie and the duck ragu gnocchi on our second visit and it was splendid. The shepherd’s pie is a great classic while the gnocchi was super silky and had great flavours. The drinks were great and the service both times have been wonderful. The space itself is much larger than expected but given it’s in the TD Coliseum, it is a great addition. They have private dining areas if you’d like to host parties/events as well. Looking forward to come back another time to try out the other menu items.

The French - Hamilton

Arghya Basu We went to The French for Saturday brunch, and it was such a lovely experience from start to finish. We had a reservation, though it wasn’t overly busy — which made the atmosphere feel relaxed and unhurried. The ambiance is warm, elegant, and inviting. We were seated by a beautiful window, which made the whole brunch feel even more special. The beer selection was excellent. I had the A Hamilton IPA, which was crisp, refreshing, and paired perfectly with brunch. For food, we both ordered Benedicts — I went with the beef Benedict, and my wife chose the salmon. Both were outstanding. The poached eggs were perfectly done, the hollandaise was rich without being overwhelming, and the flavors were beautifully balanced. My herbed fingerlings were absolutely delicious — crisp on the outside, tender inside, and seasoned just right. My wife’s salad deserves special mention — it was just too good. Fresh, vibrant, and thoughtfully put together. And then came dessert — the crème brûlée. Exquisite. Perfectly caramelized top with a silky smooth custard underneath. A flawless ending to a wonderful brunch. Highly recommend The French for a relaxed yet refined brunch experience in Hamilton. We’ll definitely be back.

Conversate Steak and Seafood - Hamilton

Nicole Akinyi I honestly never write reviews, but this place truly deserves a 10/10. I came here for my birthday dinner with two other people, and everything exceeded my expectations. It wasn’t as packed as we thought it would be, but the ambiance and overall aesthetic of the restaurant were absolutely beautiful. Our server was amazing—very friendly and accommodating. Since it was my birthday, we wanted to take a lot of pictures, and while some places have an issue with that, they were extremely understanding and allowed us to take photos for most of the night, which I really appreciated. The food was honestly a 10/10. I haven’t had an Alfredo pasta this good in years. Everything about this place was just beautiful—from the atmosphere to the service to the food. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. The service was exceptional, even with us taking what felt like a million pictures throughout the night.
