1 /5 Seth Guiza: Underwhelming for $10 million+ Our city could use more support for transit, housing and rehabilitation for homeless. A big slap in the face from mayor Drew Dilkens to allow a stationary street car instead of many services that desperately need funding. A very out of touch mayor with mayor powers is a very dangerous thing indeed.

5 /5 Ron Hebert: The Legacy Beacon showcasing the historic Streetcar number 351 is an awesome addition to Windsors Riverfront. The old electric streetcar has been restored to a like new condition and visitors can hop on board for a nostalgic tour of the car. The attraction even comes with a food and drink vendor onsite. Plenty of outdoor seating and a new observation deck overlooking the river. A decent sized parking lot and connecting footpaths along the river. A gem!

5 /5 Rob Macdonald: The Legacy Beacon is a good spot to visit along the river walk. We have watched it since it started about eighteen months ago. The City of Windsor has done a great job on the site. It is free to go in on the weekends to see the old street car. You can get the entire history of the street car. It covers from when it started service, decommission, being tracked down, and ultimately to the full restoration. You can even walk inside the old car. The restoration is unbelievable, it looks like new. They have a snack shop onsite with an awesome area to sit outside. It includes a shade cover area, tables, and Muskoka chairs to watch the boats go by or the sunset. The concession has food, beverages (including local beer and wine), coffee, lattes, and soft ice cream. This is something that the trail needs. There are restrooms and parking onsite. This includes an EV charging station as well.
