Quai Chic Taverne - (Near Gatineau, QC)

1 /5 Chantal Landreville: Chose this restaurant due to its proximity to the casino. Great website & attractive menu options. Read reviews & was impressed by videos & pictures of food. We had a 5:45pm reservation. A table of two was seated 10 minutes after us and was served cocktails before anyone came by to greet us/bring water. Got a servers attention, who apologized for server who was in training. Food arrived - fish was dry and lukewarm, not hot. No quality check done after our meal was brought to us. Once we were done eating, we sat with our plates in front of us for 25 minutes. I walked up to the bar to ask an employee for our bill. I was polite, but frustrated. The trainee was lovely but was clearly overwhelmed and not getting support from her trainer. She returned with our bill, which gave us an opportunity to let her know the fish was like saw dust. My mother-in-law noticed a promo card on our table saying that main dishes are buy one, get the second 50% off. Guest check was full price for all three of our main dishes. Signalled to trainee that promo was not applied. She returned with an amended guest check, apologetic. We reassured her that sadly, she was let down by her colleagues. Will not be returning.

5 /5 Shaddy Saneie: Went to Quai this evening to celebrate a girlfriends birthday. Our servers, Maude, was amazing - she was well informed about the menu and was able to work with the chef to accomodate a gluten and dairy free dish for my allergies, it was so good! Everyone else loved their meals as well, the tartar was delicious and the flank steak was perfectly cooked. Would definitely come here again + recommend to others.

5 /5 Francois Jr St-Jean: It’s a nice quiet place, the lighting is comfortable, music at a reasonable volume. The staff is courteous and polite, helpful. I went on a Wednesday for their Moules et Frites deal, 50% off. It was delicious, a great meal, finished it with a slice of homemade sugar pie.

5 /5 Andrea: We were in town for our son’s hockey tournament and had already hit up all the usual touristy supper spots. On our last night in the city, I did a quick search and found this restaurant—and wow, what an incredible find! The atmosphere was super hip, and we even got to watch the Blue Jays game while we ate. The service was amazing from start to finish; our waitress was so friendly and on the ball. You could tell this is a place where the locals eat, because it was absolutely packed—and clearly for a reason. I ordered the mussels and fries with a Caesar salad. The Caesar was awesome, and the mussels and fries with the spicy mayo dipping sauce were next-level good. Others in our group had the steak frites and a poutine, and everyone was extremely happy with their meals. We’re so glad we discovered this place on our last night. Highly recommend!

5 /5 Roxanne st-denis: Our server was dynamic and appropriate. She knew the menu, suggested a great wine and recommended me a great choice when I couldn’t decide on my mussels selection. Everything was on point, calm and cozy. They dimmed the lights a couple times I noticed to adjust with the outdoor lighting witch is a beautiful atmosphere touch to make a moment with friends very smooth and comfortable. We’ll definitely make it a ritual to go back! I hadn’t been in a long time. Good job to the team!
