3 /5 Hobbit Goat: To give a little context, I have eaten at at least six different Vietnamese restaurants serving the traditional meals: pho, grilled meats and the appetizers such as fresh spring rolls.
At Can Tho you can basically say they dum down their food for the perhaps less knowledgeable of certain people of Longueuil.
The lack of the usual table accessories such as: tray full of chopsticks, asian soup spoons, hoisin sauce, sriracha, chili garlic sauce and the other things you might usually find was showing how less authentic it felt.
The food was fine, quickly served and warm. I enjoyed the presence of vegetables in their basic home soup and the general tao.
I also appreciated having green tea and the fish sauce I asked for meaning they still had some staples you could expect.
In summary, if you are you used to eating at few different places feeling more authentic usually found in Montreal, you might be disappointed but its still not bad to eat and the service is quick.
PS the only picture I have is of the tempura shrimp which wasnt bad but it did not seem like the usual panko bread crumbs, felt more like the stuff you get with frozen chicken nuggets.
