I had an awful experience at this store and feel completely misled. I purchased several items for my husband during a sale and specifically asked at checkout whether I could return them if they didn’t fit. I was clearly told, “Yes, absolutely. You have until January 12.” There was no mention whatsoever that returns would be limited to exchange or store credit. None. Never in my right mind I would spend 300 dollars on items that I knew might not fit or my husband might not even like.
The very next day, when I returned because the clothes didn’t fit, I was told refunds were not allowed and that I could only receive store credit or exchange. That critical detail was never disclosed at checkout. Saying “you have until January 12 to return” without clarifying “for exchange or store credit only” is misleading, whether intentional or not.
When we tried to resolve the issue, things escalated badly. One sales associate was extremely rude, refused to give her full name, and another employee actually told me, “It’s your fault you bought clothes from us.” When my husband spoke with the store manager on the phone and expressed that we felt our money was stolen, the manager responded by saying, “Your wife stole your money.” That comment alone is completely unacceptable.
To make matters worse, when we mentioned leaving a review, another employee behind the counter dismissively waved her hand and said, “Go ahead and leave your bad review then.”
Mistakes happen and I fully understand that the cashier may have had a slip up.
What’s outrageous is the refusal to acknowledge it, the dishonesty around the return policy, and the shockingly disrespectful way we were treated. I have never experienced such poor customer service from a retailer.
I feel robbed and disrespected. Please think twice before shopping here.
