1 /5 Park Soohyeon: I bought a handy fan from this store in August last year and purchased a 3-year warranty with it. At the time, I was told that if the fan broke within the warranty period, I could get a replacement.
In May this year, the fan broke, so I brought it back to the store. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing from the start. The sales associate was visibly unhelpful and indifferent. I was told the exact same item was no longer available. I asked if I could get a different handy fan with the same functionality, but they insisted I had to pay the price difference — and did so in an extremely uncomfortable and dismissive way.
When I asked if they could check other locations or stock rooms, they said even if they had the exact same model, I would still have to pay more due to “inflation.” That didn’t make sense to me at all — it certainly didn’t sound like how a warranty is supposed to work.
To avoid further argument, I paid the difference and accepted a similar fan. I then asked if my original 3-year warranty would continue with the new product. They told me no, that it only applies once — something they never mentioned when I bought it. Yet, they were quick to try and sell me another 3-year warranty, which I declined.
To top it off, the replacement product stopped working the same day I got it home. At this point, I didn’t even bother going back because of how unpleasant the staff had been.
If you plan to buy from this store, be cautious about product quality and make sure you get clear, written terms of any warranty. My experience was frustrating and disappointing, and I wouldn’t return.
