2 /5 S Kobe: I’m usually hesitant to write reviews on small businesses, as I prefer supporting them over online shops. However, yesterday was a weird experience. To begin, I’ve purchased a few N64 games from this store before, in two separate transactions. I had absolutely no issues. Staff were friendly and helpful. Yesterday, I was looking for a copy of Luigi’s Mansion for GameCube. I called ahead and asked if they had a copy, the answer I got was, “we probably do, but we’re a little busy to check”. Fair enough I thought, so I headed over there, and they did in fact have one in stock. The owner (I’m assuming), comes from the back room and shows me the copy, and says, “$210”. The price was more than double what eBay sold listings were, and what other stores were asking. I politely declined, and said “sorry, I just can’t do $210” and I started making my way towards the exit. The real problem I have was the attitude with the owner/staff. As I was leaving, with my back turned he sarcastically said, “must be easy to find then”. I don’t get the point of saying that, I was already leaving and hadn’t been rude or difficult with them. I turned around and said, “well I just bought a GameCube console at a store in Surrey, and they had a copy for $100”. He asked where I went, and I told him. The conversation fizzled out after this. Now I understand charging a bit more for certain items as a small business. Cost of overhead, staff, etc. Asking double what something is worth (based on eBay sold listings, marketplace and local specialty stores), is a ridiculous, but making an offhand comment as I’m leaving is blatantly rude. I would have recommended this store before my encounter yesterday, but that is no longer the case.

5 /5 Taylor Lee: I always look forward to coming here to browse & pick up Pokémon singles Ive been hunting! The whole staff is super welcoming and knowledgeable. They have a wide selection of Pokémon cards, other TCGs, collectibles, and retro games + consoles. Highly recommend checking them out if youre a TCG or retro Nintendo fan in the area!

1 /5 David Coulter: Polite staff, incredibly rude owner. He was so insulted by my offer (10% below market) he threw the cards on the table, made multiple sarcastic comments, then walked out to his car to continue to smoke weed (was smoking a blunt behind the counter). His friendly staff apologized for his childish behaviour. On my way out he started another argument from inside his car. Weird guy. Cool store, nice staff, terrible ownership. Won’t be back sadly. This is the first negative review I’ve ever left…but I was shocked by the behaviour
