Buon Gusto Restaurant - Guelph
Vinit Zunjarrao Visited Ali’s Bon Gusto in downtown Guelph this weekend on a whim after Elora’s Christmas Market—and it turned out to be an excellent decision. True fine-dining quality without any pretence.
Ali (the owner) is incredibly warm and welcoming, and Rob, our server, was fantastic—great at guiding first-timers, explaining portion sizes, and highlighting the day’s specials. Service and hospitality were top notch.
We ordered calamari arrabbiata and bruschetta to start, followed by a mushroom & bacon signature pizza, spaghetti Genovese, and butternut squash gnocchi (highly recommended). Drinks were well paired, and desserts—house-made tiramisu and white chocolate ricotta cheesecake—were a perfect finish.
Open, clean kitchen, spotless and spacious washrooms, great wine selection, and very fair pricing for the quality. Parking can be a bit tricky, but it’s walkable from public lots.
Definitely a place I’ll return to and happily recommend.
