Flying Monkeys Craft Brewery - Barrie

Rating: 4.6 /5
Lucas Elliott Been drinking their beer for years and FINALLY made it into Weird HQ. What a goddamn delight. The vibe, the service, the beers, the cheers: I had a great time from start to finish. Tried the double smash burger with fries and gravy and what made scientist sauce boss in the kitchen that made that garlic aioli deserves a raise.; and so does the assistant manager. They should probably also get a flight board to take home for good measure. Anyway, 10/10 would get weird again.

The Breakfast House - Barrie

Rena Came by to have a bite before going to the slopes. Loved my pancakes and the service is amazing! Everyone was lovely and one of them ran after me in the snow to make sure I get my lip liner back! I didnt mind to lose it but was so touched

Michael & Marions and The Side Door - Barrie

Rating: 4.7 /5
Lise Corbeil I sat at the bar at Michael & Marion’s for an after work dinner. I ordered the seafood and ravioli. There was plenty of seafood and they swapped the clams out for extra mussels for me. There was a really nice portion of shrimp, mini scallops, lobster, and fish to go with, and the ravioli was freshly made in restaurant. I followed up with a decadent dessert. I ordered the flourless chocolate torte. The presentation was beautiful and a perfect balance of flavors. they served it with some whipped cream and a Brulé Graham crust on top with a blackberry and a scoop of caramel ice cream with chocolate caramel chunks in it. Divine And such a nice balance of chocolate and caramel. For those who care about calories, this was light and one would think it had none. The bartender/servers Chy & France are wonderful. I will absolutely be back. I started to eat the seafood and pasta before I could take a picture but look at the dessert below.

Kinja Sushi - Barrie

Phoebe Do Small cozy restaurant. Everything looks clean. The day we came in, their staff called off so we were noticed that the service will be slow but we have no problem with that. Food was so fresh and delicious, decent portion size. We ordered from both Japanese and Korean menu and everything was great. The spicy pork bone soup was our most favorite, not too spicy but flavorful and the meat is so tender. Rolls was also impressive but I forgot to take picture. Every dish was seasoned just right. I’m so happy that we found another good Asian restaurant in the area, definitely come back next time!

Smokin Petes Burger Stop/Uncle Pete’s Burger Joint - Barrie

Rating: 4.9 /5
Roger Lowe Heard they had a dedicated fryer and offered a Gluten Free bun so I ventured in. Barb and Angelo were awesome and very helpful. I had an delicious burger and Garlic Parm fries. Dedicated beef Tallow fryer makes the fries taste amazing. The burger was also top shelf. Highly recommended for a visit.

Mc Finns Traditional Irish Pub - Barrie

Rating: 4.5 /5
Rob Huston Awesome Irish pub right on the Five Points. (Not just one patio, but two!). They have chefs, not cooks... Fantastic portion sizes and presentation. They have the Guinness company beers, and a variety of others. The staff are all fantastic, and the owner is a hard-working angel. Live music on weekends never disappoints, and theres room for the band and dancing. There are a lot of places downtown, but this is my favourite go-to place for sure!
