Ramen Isshin Vaughan - Concord
Wendy Tang Its tucked in the corner of Tuscany Plaza
Ambiance - 5/5: small place, not a lot of tables indoors so it fills up quickly. They do have a patio for seating but its closed at the moment since it is cold. There are 2 gender neutral bathrooms. Although its a good size, Im not sure they are accessible. They dont have the safety handle/bars.
Service - 5/5: seated quickly and the server was super friendly. He introduced us to the menu and answer any questions. He checked in on us often.
Food: We got the curry cheese Tsukemen (recommended by our amazing server)! He told us that it was a fan favourite from a few years back. It was taken off the menu and there were a lot of upset customers so they recently brought it back. Tsukemen is basically a cold ramen with piping hot sauce/"soup" that you dip your ramen and toppings into to eat. The curry cheese was a punchy flavour bomb. I tasted the spicy from the curry. It is on the salty side. The server acknowlesged that too and offered to dilute it with a broth so that I can drink it at the end. I was really full so I kindly turned down the offer.
In addition to the Tsukemen, we ordered edamame and miso ramen. There were a lot of edamame for the price. We chose the traditional garlic salt. The other option was shoyu garlic salt. The miso ramen was also really good and filling.
Overall 5/5 - shout out to our friendly server!
