BJ Gillett Hands down the best meal out I’ve had in a long time! The duck breast and pork tomahawk we ordered were both perfectly prepared and absolutely delicious. The service was outstanding; the entire team worked seamlessly together to serve our group of six. Kieran was fantastic from the moment I called to make the reservation through to serving us at our table. Truly impressive hospitality, food and ambience. Highly recommend.

Jayla Aron Absolutely amazing customer service, food, and atmosphere. Somewhere Dine Bar saved our night in the best way possible. They were able to take a birthday celebration group of seven at the very last minute, and wow—did they ever deliver. Our waitress was truly exceptional. From her warm welcome to her deep knowledge of the menu, her thoughtful recommendations, and her ability to juggle multiple tables with ease, she was flawless from start to finish. Every dish came out fresh, hot, and beautifully prepared, and the entire team made us feel genuinely cared for. Thank you for turning our evening around after we arrived last minute due to a terrible experience at another restaurant. You made a positive impression on all of us and turned a stressful situation into a wonderful birthday celebration. We will absolutely be returning and spreading the word to our family and friends about how fabulous everything was!

Zaks Diner - Ottawa

Jim Reaugh If you’re looking for a solid gluten-free breakfast in Ottawa, Zak’s is a great find. I ended up eating here twice during the week, which is usually the best sign a place is doing something right. The surprise highlight was the gluten-free toast—honestly some of the best I’ve had. Most GF bread feels like edible cardboard, but this was actually good. The breakfasts are classic diner style: big plates, lots of potatoes, eggs cooked properly, and sausages that mean business. The diner itself has a fun retro vibe: booths, old-school lighting, and even a Mustang front-end turned into a counter. It feels like the kind of place where breakfast has been taken seriously for decades. Staff were friendly and quick, portions were generous, and it’s right in the heart of ByWard Market. If you’re gluten-free and wondering where to get a proper breakfast in Ottawa, start here.

Shelen Thomaz Its an excellent place for any person looking for a better quality hamburger. They literally give you the option to build your own type of burger and combo. The Korean French fries are delicious too. :)

Tabassum Promy Situated in a very vibrant area. The ambiance was so nice. The food was so yum. Flavourful and very tender. I LOVED every bite of my plate. The only server, serving with a constant smile won our heart. The music, food and the outdoor shops was totally giving a Moroccan vibe. I never wanted to leave the place. Definitely a five star!

Lynn Angie Perou So cozy the lighting creates such a warm vibe, and the food is genuinely comforting. The cocktails are well made, and the menu pulls flavors from so many countries, so you either discover something new or it reminds you of home. Definitely cozy food at its core. The service was great, and I’ve heard they host events sometimes with that atmosphere, I bet they’re amazing.
