Mama Favourite kitchen - (Near Guelph, ON)

Jaime J I look forward to coming here for lunch every time I come to Guelph! The portions are plentiful and at a good price, and it’s always delicious food. We had the chicken cheddar jalapeño sandwich (which wasn’t spicy at all, but so good!), the Caribbean beef brisket sandwich and the fried chicken and waffle. The sides were also incredible- broccoli cheddar fritters, zucchini fries and the roasted Brussels sprouts. This week I ordered pick-up through Uber eats for 12:30-1pm pick up time, but when I arrived at 12:45 they said my food wasn’t due to be ready for another 15 minutes. I assumed picking up after anytime after 12:30 would have made sense, but oh well. The girl who I spoke too happily offered to have them deal with my order quickly as they weren’t very busy and I was in and out in about 5 minutes.

Victoria Urso We had an amazing experience at La Reina! The food was outstanding — full of flavour, perfectly spicy, and truly some of the best Mexican food in Guelph. The spicy margaritas were incredible too. One ordered drink came out slightly different, but it still tasted great. A small note: although the hostess was very kind, she seemed unsure about accommodating guests who wanted to wait for a table and very willing to lose business and turn away clients. Had we not been persistent, we might have left — as we noticed others leaving as well. We were happy to wait at the bar (even with only one chair for three people), and once we did, things went smoothly. To our surprise, a table opened up in about 10–15 minutes as oppose to the 30 to one hour wait time as advised, and everything after that was fantastic. Great food, great drinks, great atmosphere. The patron margarita tower was very tasty and cool! We’re very glad we stayed and will definitely be back!

Merri Canadian Lovely place for lunch - parking on the street out front! Amazing customer service by server Sherry and her baking is decadent! Wonderful choices on the menu and everything g is made fresh! Do t miss this hidden gem!

Scott Clark This was a treat. Loved everything about it and Sarah our server was a gem. The food , people and atmosphere hit all the right notes. Pumpkin loaf to start(outstanding), Manitoulin Trout for the main(Manitoulin is one of the most beautiful places you’ve never visited. Largest freshwater island in the world) apple crumble with peach sorbet (sorbet was incredible)to finish off the evening. Chef…loved everything, but I know you could up your apple crumble game for sure. BTW , great selection of beer.

Kaeshi Sri We were looking for Ethiopian food on our weekend getaway drive and came across this quiet little restaurant. You might miss it from the outside. The food was amazing. It definitely exceeded our expectations and well be back for sure. The owner is also very kind and let us try different types of samples from the kitchen. Looking forward to coming back here!!

Wes Boling The perfect respite after 11 hours of driving. An intimate, dimly lit atmosphere but so approachable that they gave my son a ball of dough to play with (and have an ample kids’ menu). The pizza was classic Neapolitan with a Canadian twist. The beer list was solid. We’re so glad a friend recommended Piatto.
