Mazarine Brunch - (Near Ottawa, ON)

Emma Brisson I went here tonight for my birthday, and it was truly an amazing experience. Our server was incredibly knowledgeablesharing fun and interesting facts about every dish we ordered and they were genuinely kind and attentive the entire evening. The food was absolutely outstanding; every plate was full of flavor and beautifully presented. I couldn’t have asked for a better celebration. Highly recommend!

Sharon Low Delicious, but small plates. Also a tad too dark in the restaurant, it made me sleepy. In terms of the food, I ordered the halibut which for $48 left me hungry; adding a bit more purée or beans would have helped, although it was a beautifully cooked piece of fish. The duck portion was similarly small for $46, but again, well seasoned. The house made hot sauce is a standout for the oyster garnish. Look forward to coming back when someone else is paying. Wine list is a standout for variety and cost.

Whiskey Tavanlar I had plans to grab dinner here before even getting to Ottawa as their Octopadaki caught my attention. I absolutely love trying octopus dishes as not everyone gets it cooked just right. So we got Smoked Salmon Crisps, Octopadaki, and Shakshuka. They were quite busy as it was dinner rush but I didnt mind the wait. I already knew that they were a Tapas place so I anticipated just getting one each or a small serving of the order which is perfect especially if I am looking just to taste something I havent had before. Just want to say that this place got the flavors perfect for me, definitely recommend the dishes that I got especially to those who loves the same flavors that I do. The shakshuka was pretty liquidy but the flavor was so on point that I didnt really mind it. Definitely a place to go back to!

Emily B I had an amazing time at North and Navy! The food was incredible - I tried the white truffle pasta, the butternut squash mezzaluna, the halibut panne and gnocchi, and the tiramisu. All were amazing, but the truffle pasta and tiramisu were the highlights. My server/bartender Quinn went above and beyond helping me choose food and wine, and suggested an amazing wine pairing for the truffle pasta. She was super knowledgeable about everything behind the bar (there are some bottles with cool stories back there!). She made the experience great!

Stephen Pottle This restaurant is so cheap they offer a discount if you spend 40$ or more and then makes the items 19$ each. Then their only ever deal is on some nut drink. No thanks. NEXT The issue is clearly not with the 40$ threshold. It’s the fact that the bowls are 19 each so if i buy 2 it doesn’t reach the threshold and i have to buy an additional item i don’t want. I’m not cheap you did that on purpose lol

Alanna Marie One word: WOW!!! We were greeted by the warm and inviting presence of our incredibly attentive server, Shaw. She was beyond stellar, going above and beyond to create a fantastic and personal guest experience. My partner and I dined here for the Valentine’s day special, visiting this spot for the first time - and were SO impressed with the food, drink selection, service, speed of service (!!), and atmosphere. In my opinion, this is the go-to spot for date night in Ottawa. I could not say more than .. total perfection!! We will be returning and requesting a table in Shaw’s section for SURE!!! Thank you to the kitchen team and service staff for an exceptional evening. I have not been this wowed by the Ottawa food scene in a long time. Absolutely visit this spot if you are looking for a welcoming but upscale dining experience. It simply cannot be beat.
