Sarah Garrett Not sure if its new management, or just new bar staff, but the service we had on our last visit was amazing. We host a couple of events a year at Bar Mason and this year was the best service weve ever had. Efficient, energetic, accurate. We had about 25 people at our gathering. Thanks so much to Karolina and Steve for never letting anyone go more than a minute without a drink in their hand, and for getting food out quickly - it was devoured! Guests said the wings were fantastic (and these guys know their wings!). Also, great to see Dolores, who used to work at another restaurant in Guelph, in a supervisor position here. A great team to have. Looking forward to being back.

Alex Jamkodjian Hole in the wall but some of the best food. Pizza, gyros, souvlaki, and the Lamb Shank!!!! That lamb is the most tender Ive had. We regularly get big orders for large gatherings and everyone loves it. Great portions and good value. Watching them make the food is an art as well. A well oiled machine of food preparation.

Gary Burren Tried Cafe Mason for the first time and was really impressed. Coffee, atmosphere, food and service are top shelf. We had the Eggs Benedict and Avocado Toast, both with the Applewood seasoned potatoes, both awesome. Our server, Jaqlin was so friendly and helpful that we wondered why we havent tried the restaurant before. Would definitely recommend Cafe Mason to anyone looking for a welcoming spot to eat and relax.

Amaris 100% vegetarian Indian. Loads of vegan options. It was mostly vegan with a few vegetarian things. The owner and staff really care about their food and want to make sure you enjoy it. The owner walks you through the buffet and explain everything to make sure you know what youre eating. Great buffet on Saturday and Sundays. Affordable way to fill up on great food.

Doc Lance Stopped by Scaddabush Guelph for a late-night bite during their last seating on a Saturday night (Dec 27), and overall it was a really pleasant experience. The seating was comfortable and the atmosphere was generally warm and inviting. I also noticed that the layout at this location is a bit different from other Scaddabush restaurants in the franchise (different in a good way). It had a different bar seating table connected to the bar and felt more accommodating. We ordered three appetizers (Polenta fries, charity bread, meatball) and one pizza (the Butcher), and everything came out looking great and tasting just as good. The presentation stood out, and I honestly felt this location was operating at a higher standard than some of the others I’ve frequently visited. Service was friendly and relaxed. Since it was late and close to closing, we let the staff know they were welcome to carry on with their closing duties while we took our time, which they appreciated. They told us to just flag them down if we needed anything, which made the experience feel very easygoing. That said, our server still checked in periodically, which struck a nice balance between being attentive without hovering. I’ll definitely be back again because next time ill have to order my usual favourite, the Zucca Ravioli. This visit was more about sharing plates, so a full main didn’t quite fit the mood, but it’s on my list for the next round. A solid late-night dining experience and a location I’d happily return to.
