5 /5 Bak Balouch: This is the newest addition to the community, and we thought we’d stop by since Rajdhani has been legendary in Toronto for decades.
From the outside, you can already tell this place is impressive, but the moment you walk in; the interior is gorgeous, pristine, and glistening. The atmosphere is beyond welcoming.
We dined in for two, and the service was amazing from the start. The owner, Tony, personally introduced himself and was so friendly and hospitable. He chatted with us, walked us through the menu, and even made some great recommendations. He also checked in to make sure everything was perfect. A level of service that’s rare these days.
We later found out this location is run by Tony and his family (which surprised us, as we thought it was a corporate-run chain!). They truly appreciate everyone who walks through their doors and make sure you feel like family - and with us, they absolutely did!
As for the menu, It’s so diverse that I actually forgot I was in a vegetarian restaurant. There’s something for everyone, and the prices are insanely INexpensive.
Since I wanted to try something new (as someone usually used to meat), I went for one of their popular and unique items (which is also huge in India) - the Noodle Burger. It’s a crispy potato patty topped with stir-fried noodles, mayo, cucumber, lettuce, and tomato on soft buns. We also ordered the Afghani Momos, Pani Puri, and Puri Channa (chickpea gravy with freshly baked roti) and a Mango Mojito.
When the food arrived, everything was fresh, flavourful, and perfectly prepared. The roti was steaming hot, and that noodle burger hit a spot I didn’t even know I had. It’s now my new favourite! The mango mojito was incredible, DO NOT SLEEP ON THE DRINKS, they are really good. Honestly, everything here was so good that we even ordered MORE to take home, along with some sweets ;)
We left full, happy, and genuinely glad to have supported a wonderful local, family-run business. We’ll definitely be coming back here a loooooot more!
