Rock Bottom Bar & Grill - (Near Windsor, ON)

1 /5 Nicholas Marentette: I’ve loved Rock Bottom for years, today that love is lost. This place was a staple for me since my time in University and I’ve never had a bad thing to say about it. Today, I ordered the pickerel “special” (17$) and was served the worst piece of fish I’ve ever had. The filet was so greasy you can see the sheen on the fish, along with the moist and crumbling breading that slid right off. As an avid fisherman I’ve caught plenty of pickerel and have eaten even more. I’ve never had a filet this poorly cooked. I appreciate the server taking it upon herself to discount my meal 25% (4$). However, I was still left with a +14$ bill for a meal I not only didnt enjoy and couldnt stomach to eat.

3 /5 A.M. Stone: Archival Stone: This bar is in the middle of downtown Sandwich. The building is historic, with original hardwood flooring, exposed beams and bricks. There are garage doors that can open in the summer. It has a bar vibe on a Friday evening. But it was still ok for families during the dinner hour. We visited in December and they were nicely decorated for the holidays. The menu includes appetizers, soups, salads, burgers, sandwiches, nachos, ribs and wings. We got chicken tenders, a chicken Caesar sandwich and a burger. The sandwiches were good. The fries were not very good. It was hard for us to determine why. They seemed a little overdone and under seasoned. We ordered 2 of the brownie dessert that I thought was supposed to have ice cream. They brought out 2 big bowls with tiny brownies in them and nothing else. We didnt mention it because it really didnt matter. But it was puzzling. We envisioned the cook putting the brownies out, then stepping into the cooler for the ice cream when the runner took it and brought it to the table. He probably came out with the ice cream thinking where did it go?! I gave the service a 2. They were all very nice. But the service was slow from start to finish.

5 /5 Fabian Picco: Today we enjoyed another nice lunch break at Rock Bottom. We had fish tacos, a couple of chicken club sandwiches, and a delicious black bean soup. The selection of drinks is also very extensive. This is one of our favourite places to meet in Olde Sandwich Towne. The service is always good, even when theyre busy. For holidays such as Saint Patricks Day, this place prepares specials that draw huge crowds, so its best to reserve a table. We were very happy with our delightful server, Krista, as well as our brief chat with the friendly owner today. We’re looking forward to utilizing the patio or sitting near the sidewalk with the open window wall when the days get warmer. The ambiance here is very comfortable. Ample parking is available nearby.

5 /5 Sandra Walker: Several vegetarian options, local wines and craft beer, a nice ambiance and attentive wait staff. My black bean burger was excellent (5/5); my husband had the Black and Bleu burger which he said was overcooked (3/5) which is why I gave the food 4/5.

5 /5 Eric Florjancic: Truly one of the best places to get delicious wings if not the best in windsor to get succulent and juicy and flavourful wings!!! Always a great experience!! Very reliable and friendly staff who help you in making the right choice for delicious meal!!! Great and amazing beer selection to choose from!!! A wonderful and great place to pick an amazing experience with friends , family or maybe just yourself to grab absolutely delicious wings!!!!
