5 /5 Lindsay Roy: First time here last night with a friend and as people who love Indian food and travel near and far to the best Indian restaurants, this place definitely takes it. All I can say is wow.
Starters - street style corn (savoury, spicy and an awesome texture), fish pakora (flavour was incredible but honestly the texture of slightly crisp on the outside but flaky and soft fish on the inside was my favourite part about this one), and paneer majestic (coated in a unique and delicious sauce). I don’t have a favourite, these were all spectacular. What a stellar start to meal.
Mains - Dal tadka with butter naan, and shrimp donne biryani. The dal was fantastic, hearty and warming and the biryanis flavour was epic, but the sauces it came with really pulled it all together. We also got mango lassi’s! Tangy and thick with a bit of sweetness and strong mango flavour, I could’ve have 1000 of these.
Dessert - shahi tukda. This was a very rich and heavy dessert (definitely a good thing, but something to keep in mind if you’re very full). But unlike anything I’ve had before. It was almost similar to a bread pudding, but not quite. What a great treat with subtle but present spice flavours.
Atmosphere - everything is adorned with high quality luxe decor making the overall appeal much more elevated. I’m personally really captivated by the stunning 3D mural lining the entirety of the restaurants one wall. It is stunning. The menu, plates, and silverware are all high end as well with rich contrasting colours and designs, a wonderful touch. The small details matter and this place clearly knows that.
The staff were so incredibly friendly and went out of their way to check that all was good with us making sure we had everything we needed and made sure we got our lassi’s. Big shout out to Komal, Ram and Raja!
With the few negative reviews I’ve seen about this place I wanted to leave my honest review as I don’t feel the negatives are justified, this has to be the best Indian meal I’ve had probably ever. I will definitely be back!
