Trofí Restaurant - (Near Ottawa, ON)

4 /5 Jon Rausseo: I stopped in for dinner with my fiancé. We had a bottle of wine and three appetizers, which was enough for the two of us. The ambiance was nice and the presentation of the food was great. It was a bit pricey but worth it for a special night. The menu could use more vegetarian options but there is still a good variety.

4 /5 Sierra S: Trofi is a delight! I went for an engagement party last night and was lucky enough to try plenty of dishes on the menu. For appies we tried all of the signature dips with crispy and grilled pita, the *tzatziki with *crispy pita being my personal favourite. The *spanakopita was the best I have ever had, by far. Absolutely delicious. For my main, I had the *Shrimp Souvlaki Brochette, which was beautifully plated and tasted great, not to mention it was a HEFTY portion! The shrimp had a delicious sauce and was perfectly seared, some of the best shrimp I have had in a long while. The main came with the *Santorini Greek salad, paired with rice and more of the pita. For dessert we all had the cheesecake and it was also lovley. The food was great, I would love to come back in the future and try other dishes on the menu. The service was overall okay, not terrible by any means, but granted they had a party of 30 or so to serve. Very kind staff. The atmosphere was great, our party was sat upstairs. The ceilings are vaulted with beautiful original windows and structural elements. There were two washrooms up stairs as well, so nobody had to leave the party when needing to be excused. The lighting was perfect, not too dark which was very appreciated. Out of all the restaurants I have been to, in Ottawa that is, Trofi has the nicest atmosphere in my opinion. Not to mention, the staff carefully placed tables to fit everyone while also giving space for mingling. They allowed our organizers to decorate as we pleased and were happy to help set up elements of the embellishments and settings. The staff let us connect our own music, so the future bride and groom had their special playlist on throughout the venue upstairs. Something to note, *I am not sure there was any accessible way to get upstairs. I think everyone attending would agree the atmosphere was perfect. Im sure there will be plenty of other parties at Trofi from our group in the future. Overall I had a great time, had lots and lots of great food (with plenty to bring home for today!) and everything went off without a hitch. Thank you Trofi team!

4 /5 Ashton Mathias: Second time visiting Trofi - an overall enjoyable experience. Total was $190 (including tax and tip) for 2 people for 2 drinks, 2 mains, 1 app. FOOD: The grilled halloumi dish ($24) was pretty good, on a pure taste basis. The salad was tasty (and included figs and the pomegranate seeds) but was overdressed. The dish was pretty overpriced tho, when comparing to comparable restaurants (Ayla’s Social Kitchen, Beckta). There weren’t many halloumi slices and they were thin. The lamb souvlaki and beef souvlaki ($42) were on the pricier side but pretty good. It is a very well-balanced meal (tzatziki, salad, fantastic rice, grilled pita) with great presentation (see photo for reference). DRINKS: The espresso martini ($18) and lavender fizz ($17) were both fantastic. SERVICE: Nick was an attentive server and definitely went above and beyond to cater to our needs. Super grateful for him. AMBIENCE: it’s a pretty restaurant NOTE: They accept amex OVERALL: Overall, I think a solid choice for a date night with solid (but not necessarily mind-blowing food).

5 /5 K BUI: We came to Trofí the night before Valentine’s Day and had a really great experience overall. The ambiance is beautiful — very modern and upscale, but still comfortable and welcoming. It was quite busy, but the service never felt rushed. Our server was excellent — friendly, attentive, and very knowledgeable. They gave great recommendations and made sure we were well taken care of the entire night. The only minor downside was our seating. We were placed right beside the kitchen door. It felt a bit secluded, which was nice in some ways, but the constant traffic of staff going in and out was a little distracting and slightly awkward at times. I’d probably request a different table next time. The food was fantastic. Everything was beautifully presented and tasted amazing. It’s definitely on the pricier side, but fair for the quality, portions, and overall fine dining experience. There were six of us and we shared everything. The bill came to around $1,000 including tip, cocktails, and shots, which honestly wasn’t bad when split between everyone. They even offered us a round of complimentary shots to end the night. (Thank you for that!) My absolute favourite was the lobster pasta — so good and definitely a must-order. The meat sharing platter was also a highlight and perfect for groups. Everyone especially loved the lamb. Overall, great food, great service, and a great atmosphere. I would definitely come back and recommend it — just maybe request a table away from the kitchen door.

3 /5 Radha Vanitha: A pricey restaurant with a nice homely feel. Service was great, very attentive serving staff. Presentation of food was excellent however taste was just ok, not worth the price.
