Whamburg - (Near Windsor, ON)

5 /5 Kristie Betty: I eat fairly regularly at Whamburg on California (uwindsor location). Generally, once a week. If it’s on Wednesday’s, they have a great deal, Wham Wednesday. A smash burger combo with fries and a drink is $10.99, cheaper than a combo at McDonald’s. The owner, Adam, is very nice, and this has been his location since its previous incarnation as Mare Nostrum, a Middle Eastern restaurant. But, I digress. The only downfalls about Whamburg are 1) it can be VERY crowded during the school year, 2) they have the audacity to have a “tip option” for a restaurant where you place the order yourself at a self-service kiosk, and pick up you own food when your number is called - you throw your own garbage out too, and clean off your own table. That’s really tacky. I would highly suggest removing that. Other than that, good overall.

5 /5 Deanna Danaf: UPDATE: changed my two star review to a 5! The owner Adam is a true gem. After reading my review he reached out to me and apologized for the negative experiences. He didn’t try to make any excuses instead he informed me of the steps he took to make sure it doesn’t happen again. Without asking, he compensated me for my meal and thanked me for coming in as often as I do. I’ve been back a few times since and gotten my favourite Adam salads and I can confirm that they’ve been great every single time ! Go support Adam at any of his locations because he truly deserves it ! I’ve been coming to Whamburg long before Whamburg was a place. This was mare nostrum before Whamburg and I came daily. I love that the fridges still carry Mare Nostrum items but it’s been a disappointment lately when the last 3 salads have been rotten or slimey. The lettuce will be brown and the cucumber is starting to mold. I’ve gone back in and they’ve attempted to replace it but when you open the others up they’re also going bad. I wish there was more quality control. As for the Whamburg side of things… their fries are great. The ranch is phenomenal and the chicken fingers are chefs kiss!

5 /5 Matthew Mailloux: Amazing food, friendly front store staff with kind young women. And a really nice owner who I met on location fixing and issue. The fries were crispy and fresh, and the burger was juicy. I’d highly recommend!

5 /5 Corey Somerton: The “Seattle Burger” is as legit as it gets. I was shocked at how good this place is while visiting from the GTA. This burger is a TOP 3 in any place in the GTA! The “Hot Southern Chicken” sando was even better than Dave’s Hot! Customer service was 10/10 as well. We’ll definitely be back! You guys have to keep that Seattle Burger!
