5 /5 Niousha Nazari: We visited La Banquise and ordered two dishes: La Boogalou and La Panoramix poutine. The Boogalou was loaded with plenty of tender pulled pork and tasted delicious, but it had a bit too much sauce — almost turning it into a stew rather than a poutine. The Panoramix, however, was fantastic. The smoked meat was juicy and flavourful, the toppings were generous, and the sour cream on top balanced everything perfectly. Also, their coleslaw salad is surprisingly good! Overall, it was a great experience, and you won’t regret trying their poutine.

5 /5 Marty Shaw: La Banquise is an absolute must‑visit in Montreal La Banquise delivered exactly what we came for: legendary poutine and a fun, lively vibe. I went for the smoked meat poutine — L’Obélix — and it was outstanding. Perfect fries, rich gravy, plenty of cheese curds, and that smoky, tender meat on top took it over the edge. My brother ordered La Elvis, which was loaded, indulgent, and exactly the kind of over‑the‑top poutine you hope it will be. Our niece kept it classic with La Classique, and even the simplest version was spot‑on. When a place nails the basics, you know the rest is going to be great. They also have a surprisingly good craft beer selection, which paired perfectly with the food and the atmosphere. If you’re in Montreal and craving poutine — whether you want traditional or something wild — La Banquise absolutely lives up to the hype. I’d go back in a heartbeat.

5 /5 Kaitlyn Jung: In my opinion the best poutine in Montreal. It is very touristy and very hyped but I love the topping to fries ratio. It’s the best I’ve ever had in MTL. We got it to go because we didn’t reserve in advance and the lines are super long which is fine because there’s a little park bench on the opposite side on the road. But be warned if you take it to go because it has the heft on a small baby. So it’ll be hard to bike if you planned to bixi.

5 /5 Roldy: If you want a really good poutine experience, I recommend coming here. The smoked meat they put on top of the poutine fries reminds me of brisket from Texas. Very flavorful, juicy, good amount - they dont skimp on the serving. I washed it all down with a banana wheat beer which was perfect. I tried their chocolate cake dessert because I didnt feel like going out and searching for a dessert spot. It wasnt for me but it was still pretty good.
