5 /5 Camille Théophile: every dish was more delicious than the last. Fresh high quality ingredients, fun textures, lovely presentation. We absolutely adored the mushroom gnocchi and the cheesecake, chocolate basque cake, which were the highlights of the evening. Service was impeccable and the atmosphere and decor are just lovely.

5 /5 Sue and Chad James: This was one of the best eating experiences we have had, ever, and we’ve been to some amazing restaurants like French Laundry, Alinea, Mon Lapin (just recently!), Septime, Parcelles, etc. The food was incredible, the service was excellent (thank you Gabriel and host!) and a lively yet not overly loud environment. We opted for the tasting menu and each dish was just sooooo delicious. The flavours were amazing. To me, the mark of over-the-top delicious food is when I am served a product that I typically do not enjoy. I do not like to eat anchovies and yet their stracciatella with white anchovies was just heavenly. I do not like to eat tartares and yet their beef tartare was delicious and delightful. Even their salad of fennel, radicchio, and greens was dressed to perfection. We came to Montreal to celebrate my birthday and Le Violon was definitely the highlight of our trip! Thanks for a great experience!!!

4 /5 Duane Brown: Came here last night for a last minute meal. I saw they got recommended in Air Canada best new restaurants for 2025. I order a couple dishes and a seltzers for my meal. Raw Beef app was great. I thought there would be more green sauce but it was tasty. The gnocchi was phenomenal. I wanted to lick my plate. My serve gave me a little great to help finish the sauce it came in. My order was a half order as I was solo. Its a huge portion of you get the full plate. The ginger seltzer was nice addition to the meal. I didnt get a dessert but it looked interesting.

5 /5 Laurence Lapierre: We loved our experience at Le Violon! We were there to celebrate our anniversary and the staff were so attentive and thoughtful throughout our meal. The mocktail was delicious, we enjoyed our entrees but especially loved the gnocchi. So good! Thank you for the great dining experience!

5 /5 Katarina Soukup: My husband and I came here to celebrate our 10th anniversary. Food was exquisite, and service was attentive without being overbearing. The staff are young, but knowledgeable and passionate about what they do - a delight! We loved the lobster, braised leeks and hollandaise, as well as the blue fin tuna bruschetta and squid and mussel escabeche – but the hand pulled ricotta gnocchi Boscaiola was the absolute star of the night. Rounded out the evening with espresso, Valhrona Basque cake and the Peaches Eton mess, followed by a tipple of Amaro generously offered by the chef. The decor was elegant, spare, but still cosy. Chef Danny Smiles and his team have created a complete gem. Outstanding and highly recommend!
