Mezcal Taqueria - (Near Trois-Rivières, QC)

5 /5 A W: Came for lunch after recommendations from multiple friends and very happy we did. We had the shrimp tacos, beef quesadillas and churros. My friend loved her shrimp tacos and complained they were so big she could barely fit it in her mouth, lol. I had the beef quesadillas and they were magnificent. The beef was very flavourful with lots of fresh veggies and with a nice pico to balance out the dish. The churros were decent, nothing to write home about, but the rest of the meal was fabulous. Would definitely recommend to others if youre in the area.

5 /5 Michel Marcheterre: We stopped for a late lunch and were not disappointed! We didn’t know the kitchen closed for a bit in the afternoon, but we managed to order pescado and cochinitas tacos just under the wire, which were very tasty and generous, as well as churros for dessert. We had drinks (Chelada with an extra shot of tequila and El Kiwi Cactus - which comes in a cute cactus-shaped mug) that were delicious and well-balanced. The service was friendly and professional.

5 /5 Mataya Rideout: The most amazing atmosphere! Staff was so friendly and more than happy to offer amazing suggestions for food and drinks. I will definitely be recommending and returning to this amazing bar and resto!!!

2 /5 Adam Midlash: This could have been a great dining experience, but the restaurant seemed overwhelmed with what was going on. We were a group of 4 seated in the bar area. It took the server 30 mins just to take our drink orders and that because we had to ask numerous times. Drinks were good though. We then placed our food orders. Instead of everything arriving at similar times, half the table got their food, finished eating then the other half got theirs. The server forgot to ring up my taco order and had to wait once again seeing as the kitchen seemed to be slow that night (waited almost 45 mins for tacos). When we brought up the fact that service was difficult that night, the server (who seemed to be a little intoxicated) mentioned that they have a small grill and that cant keep up with numerous orders. We found that quite ordinary seeing as a restaurant should have the right equipment in order to serve their customers properly. I was rather disappointed that the server didnt offer anything to compensate for the bad experience. Just a small gesture would have changed everything. Will not try this place again, too bad as the food and drinks were good.
