Restaurant Alpina - (Near Gatineau, QC)

5 /5 Ken Bodnar: This restaurant is a gem. If you have ever wondered what vintage restaurants were like, this is it. They dont serve tiny portions faux or pretentious food. This place is authentic as they come, even though it is tucked into the Gatineau Hills away from any major city. The service is fabulous. The ambiance is homey and country-charm. The portions fill a working man and the food is quality and generous servings. The price is right. When you order a breakfast with 2 eggs, you get three. The plate is piled high. The home fry potatoes are very unique and delicious. The menu is fairly extensive with good, home-cooked entrees. And the best part is that the price is right!

5 /5 Meiping CHEN: A great restaurant to visit with family. The food was excellent—especially the potatoes, which were unique and tasted like potato chips. Really delicious! The service was amazing, with friendly staff all smiles. It gave us a wonderful start to the day.

5 /5 Troy Ryan: Well on my way home today I decided to take the mountain road which is the scenic route. We were hungry so we decided to stop in at Alpina for some breakfast. Boy, I didnt regret it. Everything was well cooked and delicious. Real home cooked potatoes And very tasty sausages. If your on the mountain road you gotta stop and eat here. Wonderful atmosphere and excellent service.+++++++

I was met with kindness and love from darcy and palo, listening and to orders and helping me with my decisions. 2 of the best waitresses ive ever met. Food came quick thanks to their assistance. If i was the boss! They would be getting a raise.
