4 /5 Mama_YVR: I recently visited this restaurant to try their Singapore hawker–style food, and I was genuinely impressed. It’s not easy to find authentic hawker flavours outside of Singapore, but this place really delivers both in taste and overall experience.
I ordered the Hainan Chicken Rice, which is a dish that looks simple but is actually very hard to do well. The chicken was tender, juicy, and well-cooked, not dry at all. The rice was fragrant and flavourful, clearly cooked with chicken broth, and it paired perfectly with the chicken. The sauces on the side were well-balanced and added another layer of flavour without overpowering the dish. You can tell care was taken to prepare it properly, just like how it’s served at hawker centres in Singapore.
I also tried the seafood fried rice noodles, and this was another highlight. The noodles were well stir-fried, not greasy, and had a good wok flavour. The seafood was fresh and generous in portion, and everything was seasoned just right. Each bite tasted satisfying, and the flavours felt authentic rather than adjusted too much for Western tastes.
Overall, the food tasted fresh, well-prepared, and full of flavour. Portions were reasonable, and the quality matched the price. If you’re craving real Singapore hawker food or want to try something different from typical Asian restaurants, this place is definitely worth visiting. I’ll be coming back to try more items on the menu and would happily recommend it to friends and family.
