1 /5 Sonia Sharma: **Poor service provided by Amit for MOLDY product**
Unfortunate experience at this Supplement King location in Newton Square. I purchased a box of Oatmeal Gold Energy Bars that turned out to be moldy. Unfortunately, half of the bars had already been discarded due to visible mold. When I informed the store associate, he contacted the manager, Amit, who stated that they could only refund the remaining bars.
I explained that no reasonable customer would keep moldy food products to bring back, though I did bring one bar as proof. Despite this, my request for a full refund was dismissed. The manager offered little opportunity for me to explain the situation and demonstrated poor customer service and professionalism. I have purchased this product about 4-5 times in the previous months already at this store (sales associate is aware), so there is really no reason for me to seek false reimbursement. Simple store credit for a faulty (and hazardous) product was all I wanted.
I want to caution other customers to carefully inspect their products for quality assurance. Based on this experience, the store appears to be poorly managed, and the issue warrants further review by Health Canada.
(FYI - sales associate tried to play it off saying the bar was probably already open, however these bars are tightly sealed, and I had clearly taken a bite out of it before I opened the packaging further to reveal the mold).
