5 /5 Janessa Matis: The team consistently delivers quality food, even on a busy Friday or other peak times. Many compliments from my dining party including "the ribs were fall off the bone," "my steak is finished perfectly" and "the nachos are layered properly so there is consistency in every bite." They also loved how fresh the calamari was (honestly the only place I will order it now as they do it that well).
Desserts are also 10/10 and its so hard to have room after a full meal but a takeout box is worth it if you dont (this is my favourite key lime pie anywhere and the other options like white chocolate brownies and sticky toffee even come bite sized).
Service was also on the ball. The friendly waitress taking care of our table made sure to fill our waters and have consistent check-ins through the meal, and the general manager took the time to thoroughly discuss how menu items were prepared for a dietary concern and adjust the cooking method with the team accordingly. If you have any allergies this is where I would go.
I do remember the burgers being a bit juicier and Im not sure if theyve changed their recipe/supplier, but the loaded burger is still better here than anywhere else. It says alot about the skill of their kitchen that all the basic bar menu items are prepared with just as much love as their signature mains.
The heated patio is always gorgeous, by contrast, I dont prefer the inner dining area as I always find it a bit dark and the way the seats are laid out draws attention to through traffic, but I suppose the fireplaces are cozy and the seats spacious if youre there with the kids. Id definitely reserve a patio spot if I wasnt dining last minute.
Overall a great experience and Moxies will remain a staple on our list of places to dine.
