The Well-Wandered Traveller The Mule in Hamilton is an excellent spot for tacos and a really enjoyable dining experience. The moment we arrived, we noticed the energetic, trendy vibe- lively music, warm lighting, and a fun, modern atmosphere that immediately sets the tone for a great meal. There’s also a small patio that looks like it would be perfect to enjoy in the warmer months. The service was impressive from start to finish. Our server was quick, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. They guided us through the different taco options with confidence and helped us choose a great mix to try. Every taco we sampled was flavourful, fresh, and well-prepared, making it easy to see why the place is so popular. We ordered beer, which was excellent, crisp, and paired really well with the food. The margarita, however, wasn’t our favourite- the watermelon flavour was a bit overpowering, so we’d probably skip that next time. But with so many other drink options available, it’s easy to find something that suits your taste. Parking was also convenient. There’s a paid lot right next door, which makes getting in and out of the restaurant much easier, especially during busy times. Overall, The Mule offered a great experience: fantastic tacos, quick and knowledgeable service, cool ambiance, and convenient parking. We’ll definitely be back to try more of the menu- and maybe that patio once the weather warms up.

N A If you’ve ever been curious about this place - Go! From my very first date with my then fiancé to my wedding night last Saturday, the Diplomat has been unbelievably good. The service is top notch. Their servers take great pride and go great lengths to ensure every guest is satisfied. Dallas, our wedding point of contact was nothing short of amazing. She was attentive, responsive and helpful in the months/days before our wedding and on our wedding day, scooped my husband and I away moments before the ceremony to make sure we had a calm moment together. This set the entire pace of our wedding and is a moment we will never forget. Shout out to the female bartender at the French who hyped us up and gave us the kindest words of encouragement/advice! Our wedding was flawless, food was exceptional and all of our guests raved about their meal and how beautiful the atmosphere was inside the Diplomat. Thank you thank you thank you!!!! Y B I recently tried some amazing Mexican food, and it was absolutely delicious! The flavors were bold, authentic, and perfectly balanced — every bite was full of taste and really satisfying. The dishes were well-prepared and fresh, capturing the true essence of Mexican cuisine. To top it all off, the dessert was just as impressive. It was the perfect sweet ending to a flavorful meal — rich, satisfying, and beautifully presented. Overall, a fantastic dining experience. Michelle Le Our favourite Sunday cooldown after work. Elyse, Braden, and the server who served us (updated once we get his name) (Feb23 @12am) are especially hardworking and who put effort in treating their guests. As someone who is a server in this industry, we can see who puts effort into their work and who enjoy it. This is a well community based restaurant with multiple connections with one another so I deeply respect, recommend, and appreciate the people who work here. Well always be back for the people who work theyre hardest here.

Arghya Basu We went to The French for Saturday brunch, and it was such a lovely experience from start to finish. We had a reservation, though it wasn’t overly busy — which made the atmosphere feel relaxed and unhurried. The ambiance is warm, elegant, and inviting. We were seated by a beautiful window, which made the whole brunch feel even more special. The beer selection was excellent. I had the A Hamilton IPA, which was crisp, refreshing, and paired perfectly with brunch. For food, we both ordered Benedicts — I went with the beef Benedict, and my wife chose the salmon. Both were outstanding. The poached eggs were perfectly done, the hollandaise was rich without being overwhelming, and the flavors were beautifully balanced. My herbed fingerlings were absolutely delicious — crisp on the outside, tender inside, and seasoned just right. My wife’s salad deserves special mention — it was just too good. Fresh, vibrant, and thoughtfully put together. And then came dessert — the crème brûlée. Exquisite. Perfectly caramelized top with a silky smooth custard underneath. A flawless ending to a wonderful brunch. Highly recommend The French for a relaxed yet refined brunch experience in Hamilton. We’ll definitely be back.
