Mona Han We came here on a Saturday without a reservation, but since we arrived before 5 p.m., there was no wait and no problem getting a table. The staff were wonderful—so friendly and patient! They noticed we were non–French-speaking tourists and took the time to explain the menu and specials to us, which we really appreciated. Everything was delicious! If you’re traveling with young kids and want to enjoy elevated food without breaking the bank—and in a warm, welcoming atmosphere—this is definitely the place for you. The calamari was an instant family favorite, the lobster ravioli and duck confit were both perfect, and the mussels were not only tasty but came in a huge portion! If I ever visit Montreal again, I’ll definitely be back for dinner here!

pablo hernandez Very fancy and top place for a date night. It is a dinner spot. Not suitable for breakfast or lunch. High end service and meals. We went here for a date night and had some steaks. The service was great. Very friendly server. Explained everything and made good suggestions. Dessert was also good. A good mix of french and spanish cuisine. We will be back for sure. Atmosphere was a bit noisy and the place is dimly lit.

Georgiana Roman Sarita I was only in Montreal one night for a conference. When you come to Montreal you have to eat here, the food is absolutely outstanding, there is a great vibe and the service is beyond expectations. Our server Mahgi is superb!!!! He made recommendations, asked for allergies and checked in. He makes the most delicious cucumber tequila shot. All the meat is seasoned exceptionally and falls off the bone! You need to go and experience Kwizinn.

Spazzito A bit of a late review but about 3 weeks ago, I walked in as a solo diner and left as if I came with friends! Valter is a one of a kind server and I wish him eternal joy and happiness in his life. His high intellect and charisma really brings a certain charm to dinner that rarely occurs on solo nights out. I expressed my desire to order in French and practice with him and he actually let me! He was patient with me as both a customer and a student of the French language. Granted it wasn’t busy either but it still means something when your meal doesn’t feel transactional or rushed as some places had made me feel (especially with my limited French). I will definitely be coming back on my next visit to Montreal for another pleasant experience at this restaurant. I had the dumplings, the short ribs, the side salad (not pictured) , one of the desserts that had icecream in shortbread(? I think) and a glass of wine. Also the bread is FAB!!! The place is pricey but I would still recommend it for my above budget/treatyoself girlies and would definitely had split all of these if I had a friend with me (I was eating with my eyes when I ordered). Can’t wait to come back !!

Casey Levine Bigger What an incredible experience beginning to end. The restaurant is warm and inviting, the staff very friendly and knowledgeable - all of their recommendations were fantastic. A huge thanks to David and Chef for ensuring our dinner was impeccable. I have some significant dietary constraints and wasnt sure I would be able to participate with the rest of the group in the storied tasting menu. However, David was most kind in coordinating with me in advance a full presentation with modifications to ensure I could enjoy the evening. Everything from the Ahi, to the beets, to the swordfish, salmon, carrot and the most incredible apple and coconut sorbet was delightful. Truly a unique and inviting experience, highly recommend.

Benjamin S A great restaurant with some fantastic dishes and beers! Ed, Jacob, and Jesse all served us throughout the night and they were fantastic to speak to as they provided great recommendations for drink and food, along with great conversation. The beers being opened tableside and poured was a level of service I havent experienced in quite some time from a restaurant. It was greatly appreciated. Being a vegetarian, Jacob recommended the Yami Yami roll that was one of the best sushi dishes I have ever had, hands down. The spicy edamame, miso soup, and vegetarian dumplings were all amazing choices as well. They werent overfilling or overpowering in quantity and seasoning, respectively. The Hitachino beers were all so good and a great way to compliment the dishes if you enjoy beer with distinct flavor profiles. Normally, Im only used to Sapporo as my home province has very little offering in the way of Japanese beer. The Hito White, Lager, Damidami, and Red Rice were all so unique but complimentary to the food. The taste was quite noticeable but subtle at the same time; each one was in its own way fantastic. I cannot emphasize enough how well they paired with the food that was served. I truly respect a restaurant that can elevate the experience by pairing drinks so effectively with the food. The entire restaurant is beautifully laid out. It felt like the prohibition met rustic-modern, and had a baby. It really provided a wonderful atmosphere to spend the evening so close to attractions like the Notre Dame Cathedral and La Grande Roue!
