1 /5 L T: Waited almost an hour from 11am-12pm to get infant formula from the locked case at this location. 2 workers were there and they pushed the help button to get a worker with a key to come. They left and l waited and no one came for a while, so l pushed the button again, and waited and no one came. Eventually, l went to the cashier who said l had to go to customer service and l went to customer sevice and they told me to wait in the formula isle that they will page someone to meet me there. I went and waited and pushed the button myself 3 more times. I waited 25 mins, then I called the store on my cellphone to speak to customer sevice while l was standjng on the formula isle and told them no one came and they tole me to wait someone will come. I said Im not waiting anymore, someone can bring me the box at customer service. I took a picture to show them. I asked for a chair once l got to customer service as my back hurt from standing for so long. I sat and waited, they came with the wrong box, then l had to wait again and they finally cane back with the right box. Then they couldnt ring it up properly and finally they did and l asked to speak to the manager about what happened. The manager said they tried pushing the button and it worked. They asked if I knew how to push the button properly, which l think is rude, but l had watched the first workers push the button and did it like them. It is 1 button, which is self explanatory. If the manager could push the button alright then so can l, but if he feels the button is not user friendly, he should ensure that isle is stocked with workers or change the system to a more user friendly verison, like a phone or no locks. I asked how long does it take for workers to respond, he said it should take 2 mins and he spoke to 2 workers. I said theres an issue and youre the manager, maybe they are coming for you, but that wasnt my experience. No one came for me. I asked what happened and he said he will find out. I said you just spoke to 2 workers, you didnt find out what happened? He said he could call me, l said l have already missed my appointment so I will wait here while you go find out because I would like to know what happened. He left and came back and said the worker left the walkie talkie on the cart and will receive disciplinary action. I said what about me, what will l receive for my wasted time. I said I would like a discount on my formula purchase, he said he can give me a $20 voucher for my next purchase and to go staright to customer service someone will bring me formula every time and say the manager said. That formula is $83.99 (full price) so $20 is nothing, but l will take that and see how it goes. Maybe there is so much formula theft at this location because the workers are not working and the manager doesnt carr to find out right away what happened. I saw many workers standing around. Other superstores I have been to dont lock their formula cases. Maybe this store should do some internal investigations. Its the one closest to me, but perhaps l will take my voucher and go to a different location. They dont even have chairs for waiting. I had to ask for one as l was having contractions from all the standing but I needed it b.c. I was out of formula and the last time I went there, they werr out of formula. So l ran out, they are out of stock often. To treat parntls like criminals because they have incompetent staff so parents suffer, is unacceptable.
