IOQ Y Picturesque and pretty street to lazily walk along on a beautiful day. Wouldve been demolished and turned into Kennedy Road if it wasnt for the neighborhood banding together to save Main St. Thats why Kennedy Road curves north of Hwy 7. Parking on the east side of the street is still free otherwise park by Too Good Pond on the North end.

Labrador Kiko A hidden gem. It has a huge football ground for small children. Children playground, a free parking lot. The whole park is covered by old trees and carpet green. Tennis court is within the park. Inside the park, u will find a very nice trail full access to Yonge street and other exit. Great for dog walker. A little creek too can see salmon activities in Oct.

Amogh Joglekar A beautiful park at the corner of Markham road and Steels Avenue East. Plenty of walking paths, seating areas and enough greenery to seclude you from the hustle and bustle of the busy border of Toronto

Helena Wismer Park is a charming and well maintained green space, perfect for a relaxing day out. With plenty of sports fields and green area, it’s great for outdoor activities, such as soccer, tennis, walking or picnic. For families, playgrounds are hits with the kids, offering them a variety of equipment for fun. My family likes playing tennis here. Whether you are looking to unwind in nature, or enjoy some outdoor activities, Wismer Park has something for everyone. In addition, parking lots are available.

N A “Pending” Great talents and styles in four venues for on-going music for two full days… and all free thanks to generous sponsors like TD and volunteers and donations from attending audiences ..I think 25 years ongoing. My fourth time there.

Ayinde the Great Just a great place to play sports, relax and enjoy the company of family and friends. There are benches to sit down on, a huge hill to view of the city, there are several soccer fields, baseball diamonds and a basketball court. There is also a playground. There is a also community centre near by (with a pool and ice rink) a high school, and many resturants within walking distance.

Shreya Lohumi Serene and calm, this gorgeous lake is nothing short of an oasis in the middle of concrete in Markham. Its a treat for bird watchers, nature lovers and or just about anyone looking to recharge themselves! The best sighting is probably, thousands of geese flying across the skies, swooping down as they head for the waters below, splashing and skidding on making their first contact with water at a certain speed and then gently gliding along the calm waters as if all that extra energy was magically tamed over those few seconds! P.S. : Those interested in serious bird watching should definitely carry a pair of binoculars. I am also impressed by how well the lake has been maintained and how safe one feels while walking here even after dusk.
