On Ting I came here last year and this is my second time. Love it, it is harder than it looks as the floor is very slippery, and you will probably fall into the water. It was challenging and extremely fun for those who love playing in water. I brought a friend who never swam before, and spent some effort on leading her to the attraction (have to swim for around 10 meters to get there). As we’re wearing life jackets and there’s no wave in the lake, I feel safe even for those who cant swim. But you should go with someone who knows how to swim to help. Highly recommend!

Fredy Tom I recently explored the Allendale Waterfront Recreational Trail in Barrie, and its a hidden gem. The trail offers breathtaking views of the waterfront, creating a serene escape from the hustle and bustle. The well-maintained path is perfect for walking or cycling, with benches strategically placed for those who want to take in the surroundings. The peaceful ambiance and proximity to nature make it an ideal spot for relaxation and outdoor activities. Whether youre a local or a visitor, the Allendale Waterfront Recreational Trail is a must-visit for anyone seeking a tranquil and picturesque experience in Barrie.

Douglas St. John Great place to reflect on Canadian history and have a moment of reflection. Ron Bairds Spirit Catcher. He states that the inspiration for his sculpture stemmed from the oral traditions of the Anishinaabe. I photographed this sculpture using a Kodak Brownie Bullet. This camera was manufactured in the same year that numerous residential schools opened their doors. For example the "Amos Indian Residential School" (1955-1973) was essentially a concentration camp where thousands of innocent children were mercilessly abused at the hands of the Church. When I removed the film roll my finger slipped and the 127 spool loosened a lot. They allowed for massive light leaks and caused major damage before I secured it. The damage to the film stock is indicative of the damage done to the European and Anishinaabe relationship. Furthermore the light leaks appear as if they are erasing the sculpture much like Canadas efforts to erase Indigenous people.

Daniel Abi-elias It was the first time going there, great beach, beautiful place, even though there was soooo many people due to the festival, it never felt crowded. Had a great time, life guards are very vigilant and helpful, everyone was so kind and friendly and you can just spend the day relaxing and swimming. Water was clean and beautiful to swim in. Would definitely go there again, and I wouldnt mind doing it every week. My only complaint is that I couldnt find a trash bin near me. However , the beach was super clean.

Katherine Lyubchenko At this eco-park there are turtles, ducks, frogs, dragonflies, sometimes very small fish, and lots of bunnies!! The forest trails are good. There are noticeable large tree roots in the ground, but they’re not too bad. A nice place for a walk with the dog, not recommend to let them run off-leash. Deeper into the forest we discovered a small clearing with lots of lily pads! The bridge leading across the marsh is fairly clean. This is one of the best natural places in Barrie to watch sunsets, just make sure to bring bug spray!!

Dan Theriault The museum has uniforms, artifacts, weapons, photographs and written history about this regiment whos lineage dates back to 1866. The staff member is very knowledgeable and readily available to take questions. Entry is by donation. The museum is small but big on history!
