Mark Alexander Wonderful, with free admission (guided tours for $). The grounds and house are quite beautiful and youll appreciate the shaded grounds on hot days. Its also a nice in-between stop if going from downtown to Kingston Penetentiary. Learn a bit of history with plenty of interpretive panels and knowledgable staff at the house.

Kevin Sheu A very meaningful tour that is both educational and insightful. It offers a fascinating look into the history of the Kingston Penitentiary while also encouraging visitors to reflect on the past and its connections to the present. Highly recommended. We took the standard tour that the majority of tourists do. Our tour guide Allan is a very humorous and educational person that made the tour even more enjoyable.

Amartya Ghosal A very well maintained national historic site to learn about Canadian history and its military past. We spent around a couple of hours exploring the fort thoroughly. There are several restaurants, cafés, and a collectibles shop inside the fort. Along with the historic structures, everyday items from the past, and specific sections dedicated to different purposes, visitors can also enjoy live performances and drills. They’re informative and interesting to experience. Though we didn’t opt for it, one can also sign up for archery and rifle classes, which look very interesting. Even though it was a public holiday, finding a parking spot wasn’t an issue for us. And the views from the top are fantastic too!

Trent Mayers Small, but informative museum about Great Lakes shipping. Already knew the importance of freight on the Lakes, but had no idea of the significance of passenger voyages in the 19th and 20th centuries. As an added bonus, the Keewatin, a passenger steamer that traversed the Great Lakes until the 1960s, is permanently docked here and open for tours in the warmer weather.

Tara McCrory-Monterroso We hosted a corporate event at the Tett Center and received wonderful feedback. Our guests were impressed by the location, and the upscale vibe it the Tett Centre provided. Brandon, responsible for AV, was so knowledgeable and ready to help with anything and everything. I would describe his level of service as “anticipating what you need and moving first”. He was very proactive and often knew what we needed before we did. Overall, the rental process was very easy and set up was a breeze as most was done before we even got there. Their AV system is remarkable and really makes it easy to host there. I would recommend your venue again and if given the chance would host there again.

Oksana Sivers As a museum is very interesting. Free access. As a human I had a very strange feeling about pain and horror people went through being locked in that environment. The museum itself is very impressive. Many documents, artifacts, all the history of the part of the reality we normally do not see. Thank you, people for this collections and stories.

Patrick Breaugh A fantastic treasure trove of Canadian military radio and communication history. Very text heavy museum but with fantastic display pieces. I easily spent nearly three hours in the museum but could have spent probably another hour. Very polite staff and a very affordable price with not too many people when I visited. It may not be for everyone but if you have any kind of interest in this stuff then this place is a must visit for you. Theres so much here you could probably visit a second time even!

Junior S + unique, and beautiful art alley + Rich with history and connected with nature + Friendly and knowledgeable owners + This is literally the definition of buy local + Variety of art (photography, paintings, sculptures) -owners should offer food/beverages to enjoy the alley - they have socials down but need to market aggressively in the tourism sector - work together with the university to attract more students. TL;DR If youre in the Kingston area you need to check out Martello Alley for its fresh take on the city with beautiful art.

Jess M We had a great time with Kingston Trolley Tours! The weather was perfect, and our guide, Chris, was super informative and easy to listen to. The tour lasted just over an hour and was packed with interesting facts and local history. Definitely worth it if youre visiting Kingston! Just a heads-up—strollers aren’t allowed on the trolley, so bring a carrier if you’ve got little ones. You can hop off at stops or stay on for the full ride. Highly recommend!
